NASF and State Lobbyists Provide Advocacy Updates for California Chapters

California Concludes Successful Fall Outing

The 2015 Metal Finishers of both Southern and Northern California Fall Outing was held last weekend at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California. Bill Wiggins Awarded CA Metal Finishers Lifetime Achievement Award

The Metal Finishing Association of Southern California (MFASC) recently honored former Burbank Mayor and owner of Glendale-based Automation Plating Corporation, Bill Wiggins, with the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award during their annual Fall Outing on October 11th.   This is the 7th year the MFASC has held their Annual Fall Outing. Non-MFASC Plating Company Fire

Non-MFASC member, Highland Plating Company in Hollywood experienced a tragic fire on Sunday morning, causing an estimated $1.8 million in building damages. Luckily, no damage to surrounding businesses was reported. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported no Hazmat efforts took place requiring evacuations during the fire, as no contaminants were identified in the air or surrounding storm drains. Local agencies are working to assess and private efforts will be made to clean up the area.

Jerry Wahlin Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
