Who has to submit this report?
• Facilities that have TEN or more full-time employees.
• Facilities that manufacture or process (25,000 lbs), otherwise use (10,000 lbs) any EPCRA section 313 chemicals in quantities greater than the established threshold.
Don’t forget the Lead – The reporting threshold for LEAD is 100 pounds.
Where is the lead? Anodes, cooling coils, lead impurities in base metals. Alkaline cleaning of lead-bearing base metal will form lead hydroxide. Wastewater treatment will form lead hydroxide. For each pound of lead impurity in cadmium anodes, 1.25 lbs of lead cyanide is manufactured. PFAS and PFOA has been added to the reporting.
