The Sanitation District in Whittier, California held an Earth Day Celebration and invited members to set up booths in honor of the special day. MFASC and MFANC members participated in the event setting up a booth and plating demonstration, displaying plated example pieces, which served as perfect conversation-starters. Members explained the science of the process while booth visitors had the opportunity to dip gold pennies and dimes in a copper solution. The plating demonstration made for a unique way to celebrate Earth Day.
