The 2014 Bright Design Challenge is Under Way

Students tour Surface Finishing facilities as part of the 2015 BDC Kickoff

To kick off this year’s program, students enrolled in the 2014 West Coast Bright Design Challenge got a behind-the-scenes look at surface finishing and plating in action. During the first 2 weeks of the program, K&L Anodizing and MFASC Chapter President, Bryan Leiker and General Brite Plating President, Alan Olick walked students through each of their facilities, providing the opportunity to ask questions and inspire their projects.

As Bright Design students fully immerse themselves in the program, both K&L and General Brite Plating have offered to help complete all surface finishing processes for their projects, free of charge. NASF and our members are proud to support student efforts to advance and innovate our industry. Final judging for West Coast Bright Design will take place in December.
