The first working group meeting for proposed amendments of SCAQMD Rules 1469 and 1426 was held last week on Thursday, Mar. 23, 2017 at SCAQMD headquarters. The purpose of the meeting was to provide background information regarding both rules and discuss general concepts for proposed amendments. This type of event provides stakeholders an opportunity to work with SCAQMD staff on proposed rule language and address issues of concerns early in the rule development process.   The association is currently involved in all aspects

The annual MFASC legislative meeting on Nov. 16, 2016, held at Stevens Steak House was a great night of networking and discussion. Christian Richter from NASF and Jerry Desmond from Desmond and Desmond gave informative presentations on local and national election results. To top the night off, MFASC President Wesley Turnbow presented Gregg Halligan and Vince Grana a special award of recognition for their many years of service on the board. The 2016 MFASC Golf Tournament at Pacific Palms was a fun day of competition and networking. A sold-out course of 128 golfers helped raise more than $25,000 to fund the association. Save the date for the 2017 MFASC Golf Tournament on May 22nd.

  Bright Design Challenge participants are working hard to complete their projects, but they took a break to snag a recent mid-term group photo. We look forward to hearing about their great ideas next month as the California Metal Finishers Association wraps up this year’s program!
